Global Gaming Women Educational Fund (“GGW”) is committed to protecting the privacy of visitors to our website (the “Site”), and we have created the following policy to demonstrate our commitment to you.  This privacy policy advises our visitors of the types of information that may be collected online on this Site and the practices that GGW follows with respect to the use and dissemination of such information. If you have any questions, comments or concerns regarding our privacy policy or data usage, please contact us via e-mail at

This Privacy Policy does not apply to any information that you may provide to third parties; for example, other websites linked to this Site. If you access our Site from a third party Social Networking Site (“SNS”), you may be required to also read and accept the terms and conditions and privacy policy of that SNS. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those websites, and you should contact such third parties directly to determine their respective privacy policies.

Information We Collect

We have designed the Site so that you are not required to provide personally identifiable information unless you are signing up for certain Site features.  The Site collects personally identifiable information from you when you voluntarily communicate with GGW by (1) registering for a Global Gaming Women webinar, event, online account or mailing list, (2) completing a form or survey, or (3) emailing a staff member of GGW.  Personally identifiable information includes your name, physical address, e-mail address, or telephone number (“Personal Information”).

In addition, our web servers automatically collect and log General Information regarding your activities when you visit the Site that does not identify you personally.  “General Information” includes your IP address, referring site, your geographic location, pages viewed and length of visit, which informs us about how visitors use and navigate our Site.  We use Google Analytics, which is a third party service, to track trends and Site usage through General Information provided by your visit to the Site.

How We Use and Share Information Collected

We use Personal Information provided to us on the Site to provide requested services, respond to your request or feedback and to improve the content and effectiveness of the Site.  In addition to the purpose for which you originally submitted the information, we may use the information you provide to make you aware of other benefits, products or events of GGW and its affiliated entities.  We may also combine Personal Information you provide to us on the Site with information we obtain offline or from other third party sources.

Except as set forth in this privacy policy or we disclose otherwise at the point of collection of Personal Information, we do not sell or share the personally identifiable information we collect on the Site with non-affiliated third parties.  However, we will share your Personal Information with non-affiliated third parties without notice when: (i) when required by law or to comply with a court order, subpoena, search warrant or other legal process; (ii) to cooperate in investigations of fraud, intellectual property infringement or any other activity that is illegal or may expose us or you to legal liability; (iii) to comply with legal, regulatory or administrative requirements of governmental authorities (including, without limitation, requests from the governmental agency authorities to view your Personal Information); (iv) to protect and defend the rights, property or safety of us, our subsidiaries and affiliates and any of their officers, directors, employees, attorneys, agents, contractors and partners, and the Site’s users; (v) to enforce or apply the Site’s Terms of Use; and (iv) to verify the identity of the Site’ users.  We employ third-party suppliers and service providers to fulfill certain services on our behalf and will share your personally identifiable information with them to the extent necessary for them to provide services to us (for example, to print and mail event marketing materials). Additionally, we use Eventbrite for any ticket sales offer through this Site, which is a third party vendor linked to our Site. Any personally identifiable information you provide to Eventbrite is governed by their relevant terms of service and privacy policy.

In addition, we may share General Information, such as aggregated user statistics, with affiliated and non-affiliated third parties.

If we sell all or part of our business or make a sale or transfer of assets or otherwise involved in a merger or business transfer, are adjudicated bankrupt or are liquidated or otherwise reorganize, your Personal Information may be transferred, sold or otherwise conveyed to a third party as part of that transaction. You consent to any and all such conveyances of your Personal Information.

Use of Cookies

We use cookies to continually enhance your experience, and may use them to store your preferences and to customize content specific to your needs. If you do not want your browser to accept cookies, you can modify the cookie option in your browser’s settings.  Each browser is different, so you will need to check your specific browser’s “Help” menu to learn how to change the cookie preferences.  You can also set your browser to notify you when a site sends you a cookie.  However, some Site features or services may not function properly without cookies.

California Do Not Track Disclosure

Your session on our Site will be tracked using Google Analytics. Although we do not track our customers across third party websites to provide targeted advertising, we do track our visitors and customers over time. We collect and use this information as described in this Privacy Policy and for the purpose of tracking customer trends and our own marketing purposes. We do not respond to Do Not Track (DNT) signals. However, some third party sites do keep track of your browsing activities when they serve you content, which enables them to tailor what they present to you. If you are visiting such sites, your browser allows you to set the DNT signal so that third parties (particularly advertisers) know you do not want to be tracked. You are solely responsible for your browser settings. We are not responsible for detecting and/or preventing authorized third party sites from bringing unauthorized third parties to our website to collect General and Personal Information beyond our normal intrusion detection/prevention.

While we have measures in place to help prevent unauthorized access, maintain data security and make proper use of the information that we collect, no transmission of data over the Internet is guaranteed to be completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of any information you provide to us.

We make content from affiliated and other third-party websites available to you from optional links located on the Site. Please be aware that these websites are not subject to this GGW privacy policy, and we thus recommend that you review the privacy policy of each such website to determine how that website protects your privacy.

Children’s Privacy

We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information on the Site from children under the age of 13.  If we learn that we have personally identifiable information on a child under the age of 13 we will delete that information.

Policy Modifications

GGW reserves the right to change this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes in our business practices. Any changes to this Site’s privacy policy, including information collected and the use and disclosure of information, will be posted here. Following any modification, we will revise the “last updated” date at the top of this privacy policy, so be sure to check back periodically for the most current version of our privacy policy.
