The Global Gaming Women Charitable Education Fund provides a number of educational offerings for industry women looking to advance their careers or emerging leaders pursuing a career in gaming. Our current scholarship offerings open and close at different times. Please check back frequently to review dates and times of due dates or what applications are currently open.

In light of the rapidly evolving developments regarding COVID-19, Global Gaming Women has made the decision to require all scholarship recipients be fully vaccinated to attend in person education conferences.

About the Leadership Development Conference


The Global Gaming Women Charitable Education Fund (GGW) provides educational opportunities to women pursuing a career in gaming by providing access to personal and professional development conferences held throughout the year. 

The GGW Leadership Development Conference is a two and a half-day educational summit to assess individual communication techniques, leadership styles, critical thinking skills and effective decision making in the workplace. Attendees will develop an action plan and commitment strategy to apply the skills and knowledge learned at the summit to their personal career goals. Additionally, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in an exclusive mentoring event with a female gaming leader.

Leadership Development Applicant Criteria

Applications for the Leadership Development Conference are available to women working in the gaming industry who have an interest in expanding their knowledge, acquiring gaming skills and making a positive contribution to the gaming industry. 

Please note: You are not eligible for a scholarship if you have attended a Leadership Development Conference in the past year.


The following list includes all of the requirements needed in order to be considered as a scholarship recipient. 

  1.  A woman with a minimum of 3 years experience in the gaming industry in any related   field/department. 

  2.  Must currently be in a supervisory position with responsibility at a manager level or above. 

  3.  Completed application form. 

  4.  Current resume or curriculum vitae must be submitted with application. 

  5.  A 50-100 word statement from the applicant on why this program would be beneficial to them  (included in the application form). 

  6.  Letter of Recommendation by your current immediate Manager or Supervisor - including their  acknowledgment / support of your upcoming attendance at their conference; letter should be dated with their name, title and signature. 

  7.  Applicant's signature evidencing commitment to complete the pre-work, which includes taking a DISC  Workplace Leadership Profile, thinking about an outcome you would like to accomplish, and  contributing a real-life issue you would like to process with experts. 

  8.  Commitment of attendance for the full length of the conference and committed engagement to attending conference. 

Scholarship recipients will be selected by the GGW Scholarship Selection Committee. Scholarship funds will be applied towards all conference attendance and program fees. Once paid, scholarship funds will not be refunded to recipient. All travel, lodging and other expenses are the responsibility of the scholarship recipient. A discounted room rate will be available at the at the location where the conference will be held for participants. By submitting your application, you agree to cover the costs of your travel, lodging and any other expenses you acquire. The conference may be held on casino property which would require award recipient to show ID to access conference. Valid ID and ability to legally access conference site may be required. 

Please note there are limited awards available, and only twenty four women will be chosen to attend this conference with a maximum of two awards per same company. 

Scholarship recipients will need to check with their Tax Advisor regarding the tax implications of receipt of the scholarship. This award may be considered a taxable award if recipients are not pursuing a degree.
