Pyramid Level Two - Front Line Leader

The next step on our pyramid is – Front Line Leader. This regional leadership conference is directed at supervisory and new management level individuals. Each program is one and a half days of content relevant to those newer to leadership positions. 

Some topics that might be of interest to you:

  • Aligning the performance of your team through trust, communication and collaboration to increase results
  • Giving and receiving feedback for performance improvement
  • Creating a culture of recognition to reinforce positive behavior and celebrate successes
  • Learning strategies to manage conflict in the workplace, including knowing triggers and understanding the impact of patterns on our behavior
  • Team Building and more!

You won’t want to miss opportunities to build great relationships with others in your area, learn about your preferred leadership dimension and area of focus, and brainstorm solutions to everyday challenges. 


The GGW Front Line Leaders Conference is a one and a half-day educational summit for women who want to broaden their leadership skills by participating in a variety of activities that will tap into their personal impact and influence capabilities. Attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in an exclusive mentoring event with a female gaming leader.

Application Criteria

The following list includes all of the requirements needed in order to be considered as a scholarship recipient. 

  1. A woman with a minimum of 1 year of experience in the gaming industry in any related field/department.
  2. Completed application form.
  3. Current resume or curriculum vitae must be submitted with application.
  4. 50-100 word statement from the applicant on why this program would be beneficial to them (included in the application form).
  5. Letter of Recommendation by your current immediate Manager or Supervisor - including their acknowledgement/support of your upcoming attendance at this conference; letter should be dated with their name, title and signature.
  6. Applicant's signature evidencing commitment to complete the pre-work, which includes taking a DISC Workplace Leadership Profile, thinking about an outcome you would like to accomplish, and contributing a real-life issue you would like to process with experts.
  7. Commitment of attendance for the full length of the conference (beginning at 1 p.m. on November 19 through 5 p.m. on November 20) and committed engagement to attending conference. 

Scholarship recipients will be selected by the GGW Scholarship Selection Committee. Scholarship funds will be applied towards all conference attendance and program fees. Once paid, scholarship funds will not be refunded to recipient. All travel, lodging and other expenses are the responsibility of the scholarship recipient. A discounted room rate will be available at the property for participants. By submitting your application, you agree to cover the costs of your travel, lodging and any other expenses you acquire. The conference may be held on casino property which would require award recipient to show ID to access conference. Valid ID and ability to legally access conference site may be required. 

Please note there are limited awards available, and only twenty four women will be chosen to attend this conference with a maximum of two awards per same company. 

Scholarship recipients will need to check with their Tax Advisor regarding the tax implications of receipt of the scholarship. This award may be considered a taxable award if recipients are not pursuing a degree.
