In-Person Conferences

Global Gaming Women offers a suite of in‑person educational programs designed to build core business skills, strengthen leadership capability, and support personal and professional growth. These programs are hosted throughout North America, Australia, and Europe, bringing women together for meaningful, high‑impact learning experiences.

Scholarship‑Based Programs

All GGW in‑person educational programs are offered through scholarships — there is never a fee to participate. The Education Committee and Organizational Leadership oversee the application review and selection process.

When awarding scholarships, the committee considers each applicant’s professional background, diversity of roles and organizations, and overall depth of experience. Our goal is to ensure broad representation across the gaming industry and to support women at every stage of their careers.

We remain committed to expanding our in‑person offerings and bringing programs to a wide range of locations to increase access and opportunity.

What to Expect?

Our in‑person educational conferences are typically held over two full days during the week. Each day begins with a light breakfast, followed by a full schedule of programming. Lunch is provided, and we usually host a reception at the end of the first day to give participants time to connect and unwind with their cohort.

These conferences are designed to be interactive and collaborative. Sessions include group work, discussions, and hands‑on exercises that reinforce key concepts and make the learning experience engaging and practical.

We recommend comfortable business‑casual attire and dressing in layers, as meeting spaces can vary in temperature. Laptops are not required. Participants only need to bring an open mind and a willingness to learn – materials such as pens, notepads, and activity supplies are provided.

All Global Gaming Women educational conferences are offered through scholarships made possible by our generous sponsors. Scholarships cover program participation and selected meals. Participants are responsible for their own travel, lodging, and any additional expenses.

As a Digital Host, this experience reinforced the importance of leadership at every level. Particularly through communication, trust, and creating meaningful experiences. Learning from talented women across the gaming industry strengthened my commitment to continuous growth, resilience, and confident leadership.

Kathleen Gullickson

Women who’ve navigated tough rooms and big decisions, all choosing to keep growing. We talked emotional intelligence, managing tension, confidence, but what stood out most was the power of women investing in themselves and each other. There’s something different about that kind of room.

Inna Bagaeva Watson

I left feeling energized and grateful. Over two impactful days, we explored foundation fundamentals, emotional intelligence, managing in moments of tension, building credibility and confidence, and strengthening communication. The conversations around self-talk, suspending judgment, and emotional awareness truly resonated with me.

Karla Miranda

Over two days, I met and learned from remarkable women. Their stories and leadership has challenged and motivated me to think bigger. Looking forward to carrying this momentum forward.

Frequently Asked Questions

Educational conferences are offered exclusively through GGW scholarships. There is no direct cost to participate in the program itself. Participants are responsible for their own travel, lodging, and any meals or expenses not provided as part of the conference.

Each educational conference has an application period that opens ahead of the program. When the window is open, you can apply directly through the event’s registration page. Once applications are submitted, the Education Committee and Organizational Leadership review all candidates, select those who best align with the goals of the program, and award scholarships accordingly.

Each cohort is thoughtfully selected from applicants who meet the criteria for that particular conference. We also take care to avoid placing participants in situations where direct reporting relationships exist, helping create a comfortable environment for open discussion and personal growth.

You may recognize a few faces when you arrive, but by the end of the program, you’ll leave with a strong network of new peers, supporters, and connections you can carry forward in your career.

We offer educational conferences throughout the country and internationally. You can explore our Events Calendar to see which programs are scheduled in your area or in regions you’re interested in. Each event page includes the eligibility criteria for that specific conference, so you can quickly determine whether it’s a good fit.

And don’t stress about choosing the “perfect” one. If your application suggests you may be a stronger match for a different program, we’ll reach out and guide you in the right direction.
